Flac support on Teracube 2E?

Greetings,

I am considering buying a Teracube 2E for its excellent ability to extend storage, battery, support for a headphone jack, and IODE OS custom ROM!

I read on gsmchoice.com that the following sound formats are supported:
AAC, AAC+, AMR, MID, WAV, eAAC+

What about Flac (16bit) and MP3 (320kbps)?

I personally lean towards yes since WAV and flac are both lossless formats, but I’ve decided to play it safe and ask.
Thanks a lot in advance!

I may certainly be mistaken, but isn’t flac compatibility going to be purely a matter of which software you’re using to play music? Shouldn’t whatever player you’re currently using to play flac work on the Teracube 2e as well (assuming you’re currently using an Android system)? Or is this more a question about the quality of the conversion to analog for the headphone jack?

Flac support is there in the hardware and stock firmware. Most likely it should be ok on the Iode side as well - however best to confirm with Iode team.

hey ecs,

thanks,
afaik flac compatibility as a codec indeed depends on the software used.
But then there are other factors as well like the DAC.

Yes, indeed it was
