iPhones use iMessage to send msgs to other iPhones and texts to Android phones. However, sometimes, the iMessage texts do not reach Android phones. This happens due to stale iMessage registration of the Android phone number (the previous owner of that phone number used an iPhone)
If this is happening to your child, then please deregister your child’s phone number from iMessage on this Apple website using the following steps -
On the child’s phone
- Open Messages app > top-right “Settings” icon.
- Open “Manage blocked numbers”. Uncheck both settings (ps: we will enable them back later)
On the Parent’s phone
- Open the Teracube Parent app
- Open your child’s profile > Account settings
- Disable Safe calling
- Open
https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/
(Scroll down to the section “No longer have your iPhone”) - Follow the steps to enter your child’s phone number and get it deregistered from Apple’s iMessage system.
After you are done
- Open the Messages app on your child’s phone > Settings > “Manage blocked numbers”. Enable both settings.
- Open the Teracube Parent app on your phone > child profile > Safe calling.
