How to troubleshoot child's calls/texts not working

This article covers the scenario where your child’s Teracube Thrive phone cannot receive incoming or outgoing calls/texts.

Please try the following:

  1. Restart the phone and check again.
  2. Make sure that the phone is not in airplane mode.
  3. Temporarily disable Safe calling in the Teracube Parent app > Child profile > Account settings
  4. On the home screen, do you see a signal indicator at the top-right (near the battery icon)? It should be a triangle showing signal strength.
  5. Drag from the top; does it say “TMobile,” or does it say “No SIM card”?

If the phone says “No SIM card” OR there is no signal indicator on the homescreen (near the battery icon at the top right), then the SIM card may have become dislodged. Follow these steps to re-seat the SIM card:

  1. Open the back cover
  2. You’ll see a SIM card in SIM slot #1 (top-right)
  3. Pry out the SIM card and insert it in SIM slot #2
  4. Put the back cover on and restart the phone.
