Just got my replacement phone with Android 11. Was a nice surprise but can not remove the day and date from home screen. is there away to do that?

The only way to remove the date from the Home Screen is to use a different launcher that allows it (or doesn’t display it in the first place). The stock Android 11 launcher and most modeled on it do not allow the date to be removed.

I highly recommend Nova Launcher. It is excellent!
