Managing your child’s digital safety just got more secure and organized. With our latest update, we’re introducing Admin-based Multi-Parent Support to give families more control over who can manage a child’s device.
What’s Changing?
Before:
Any adult in the family could scan the QR code from the child’s device and immediately start managing the child’s phone — no approval required.
Now:
The first parent who connects to the child’s phone becomes the Admin Parent (primary caregiver). Any additional parent or caregiver who wants to connect will need approval from the Admin.
How It Works
- When a secondary parent scans the QR code to connect to the child’s phone.
- A request is sent to the Admin Parent .
- The Admin will receive a notification on their phone and can:
- Approve
- Deny
- Admins can also go to:
Child Profile → Account Settings → Manage Caregivers to view and manage pending requests.
Once approved, the secondary parent can fully manage the child’s phone.
If Denied
The parent who sent the request will not have access to the child’s profile.
For Existing Families
-
To view parents who are connected to your child’s profile, Head to Parent app → Child dashboard → Account Settings → Manage Caregivers and you will see a list of all caregivers who are connected to your child.
-
The Admin Parent can:
- View all connected parents
- Remove caregivers
- Assign or change the Admin role as needed
-
The secondary parents can:
- View all connected parents
Why This Matters
We believe in giving families flexibility without compromising on safety . This update ensures that only trusted adults can manage your child’s digital experience — with your approval.
