I’ve been using this hack for a couple of years now. I can’t take credit for it, I found it on YouTube.
How many times have you installed a new tempered glass screen protector and immediately got the halo or got it a few days later? I just put a new screen protector on my 2e. Sure enough the halo came up about a day later. This time, I dipped a q-tip into a cap of olive oil and went around the edge of it, rubbed it in with my thumbs and then cleaned it up. I’ve done this on several phones with some success. It doesn’t work all the time, but I fixed quite a few devices including my 2e I’m using right now.Vegetable oil will work as well, but I treated my 2e to olive oil. LOL
