I’m not happy with the work around to stop this happening.
My phone tells me it is up to date.
Elsewhere here it says try SW16 but not on EU phones like mine.
Suggestions to use launchers scare me - I have no experience in stuff that might brick my phone.

Hi @allantaximan - I guess I replied too soon on your other thread. Now I have some context.
You can also install this Android 11 update. Please be aware that there is a performance issue in that build - the team is working to fix it.
Other fix is the launcher fix which should be very safe to use - many folks use alternate launchers. And they are easy to install from Google play store.
