What does the little green picture next to ‘google play system update January 1 2025’ mean?

Green means that your phone is happy with the update for that specific thing.
Basically, that specific one means that Google Play store has installed the current updates and won’t block Netflix and other ‘protected’ apps from installing.

They were just giving an example of a Protected App that would not work if the Google Play Protect runtime is too old.

thanks for letting me know. But I do not understand what ‘Google Play runtime is too old’ means. Did I need to know about this ‘Google Play runtime’ thing to try to update teracube 2e zirconia?

No, not at all. It will update in the background on its own as far as it can, and major build upgrades will take it further.

You dont need to manage it, but knowing if it is out of date can help you understand why some apps may refuse to download or run.
