When I plug headphones into my terracube 2E, no sound comes out of them. The headphones are fine. There’s a bug in Terracube phones that cause basic headphones not to work.
This is such a basic failure, I’m shocked that noone has reported this.
Larry, have you cleaned out the headphone port? They do jack sensing, which can be finicky when electrical contact is not good.
Blowing it out is a good start, followed by gentle sweeping/picking with a wooden toothpick, then finally a pass with isopropyl alcohol on a thin swap should restore reliable jack performance barring an actual failure of the jack.
I’ve been having a not-dissimilar problem with my Teracube 2e and the headphone jack. I’ve needed to give it a bit of a jiggle to get it seated properly and playing audio but the last time I tried to insert my wired headphones, it almost seemed like there was some kind of cushion in the bottom. I’ll try this cleaning process and see what happens.
