Thrive Phone asking to Activate even though the phone plan is active [Answered]

If you just activated your plan, please wait 2-3 hours for the software to update.

If your phone plan has been active for some time (> 1 day) and you are getting an “Activate wireless plan” screen on your child’s Thrive phone, then your SIM card may have been dislodged (or removed). The phone may be missing the cellular indicator on the top-right of the screen (near the battery icon), and calls/texts are most likely not working.

Please do the following:

  1. Restart the phone and check again.
  2. If the issue persists, then:
    2.1 Open the back cover
    2.2 You’ll see a SIM card in SIM slot #1 (top-right)
    2.3 Pry out the SIM card and insert it in SIM slot #2
    2.4 Put the back cover on and restart the phone.

If you continue to get the Activate screen, then please share the following information:

  1. Tap “Contact us” on the activate screen and note the serial number. Maybe take a picture.
  2. Tap “Activate” and note the ICCID.
