Zirconia blank display & non-reponsive - random occurrence

Using Android Teracube build 13.0.5+06dd9ba.zirconia.user, security patch level 7/5/2024.
Randomly, the display goes blank and the unit becomes non-responsive, on/off button will not work. Seems to happen when the phone is in timeout mode.
The only solution is to open the case, remove the battery, reassemble and restart the phone.
After restarting, the phone works fine until the next time the issue occurs.

Any ideas?

I have not heard of this issue outside of your report.

Is yours a fairly long-running install with many upgrades?

Are you in a position to backup your data and fully reset the phone and try it again?

I have had the phone since its initial entrance. All required Android and Google updates have been performed including the update to Android 13. I did a clean install of Android 12 when the problem first appeared, but the problem remains.

In retrospect, it may be a hardware issue.

In any event, I am replacing the phone with a new Samsung unit and will be retiring the Teracube as my new provider will now support the hardware. It was a great phone while it lasted and now it’s time to move on.
