[Certified] Android 13.1.1 for Teracube 2e Emerald (SN:2021)

After last week’s OTA patch, I had the same issue on Zirconia, both with the default app and with OpenCamera. I had been about to file a report, but then another patch came out and the camera focus worked again after I installed it.

(Since patches don’t normally come out so close together, I’d assumed you’d gotten deluged with camera-focus complaints and had released the second patch in response to it. Surprised to hear you hadn’t seen any prior reports.)

I’ve have a Teracube 2e Emerald with eOS for about 3 years. Its had eOS Android 12 for over a year now. It feels like the eOS folks are focused on the Fairphones the Xiaomis and other phones. I know you have Android 13 on the Teracube side for a while. Would the upgrade process you have work with eOS in order to switch over to Android 13?

If you restore it to Teracube Emerald stock, then follow the upgrade instructions for 13, it should work well. If you’re trying to go directly from /e12 to standard 13, that might be a messier process.

Thank you for the information.

I installed a system update a couple months ago, and everything on my phone has run very slowly since.

A new update just pushed through within the last couple weeks. I installed it this morning in hopes that it would address some of the prior update’s issues

Now my phone cannot send or receive phone calls on cingular

Texting and Internet still work; it’s just the phone function that is broken

Any suggestions on how to fix? Other than a factory reset?

Sorry to hear that.

Have you done a Network Reset and verified the APN settings with Cingular Support?

I’m having the same problem. I updated on Monday, 4-21 and there were two updates that I found…(one was released in Dec. and the other one on March 5th) . I have emerald model and I didn’t pay attention to the first update released in Dec. to notice whether it was for Emerald model… I hope so but either way, since the update, I can’t make or receive phone calls… phone has been wonky for months as well…apps not responding, taking over 5 minutes for phone to be ready to use from startup, screen going black and not being able to get it to go to home screen, rebooting on it’s own… I did a soft reset, a factory reset from the phone, (not the one that you have to use Win10/11 with), did not clear cache though and still just silence when calling anyone and then ends the call…which is what others experience when they call me. Am waiting for text back from phone company to see if they can reset the network as I have no idea what this is or how to do it…

A fix is being worked on and an update should arrive soon.

Any idea when the fix will be pushed out? It’s very frustrating to have a phone that cannot function as a phone.

Hi @Denis_Mcelroy - we just rolled out shiny new Android 14 builds that have gone through some basic internal testing and have ATT working. Can you try them out?

Thankfully, the new build works. I can even make and receive phone calls. I hope y’all do a better job of beta testing on subsequent releases before pushing them out.

I don’t make that many phone calls from my phone but of course I have just now found that I can neither make nor receive phone calls on my Teracube. I can only assume it’s this same problem and I plan to upgrade to Android 14 tonight.
I have noticed that most widgets (not my Calendar widget, as it turns out) keep disappearing from my screens if I have to restart my phone. I wonder if anyone else found that?

What release are you on currently that you are seeing disappearing widgets?

Let us know how the A14 upgrade goes and if your connectivity is better (you may want to perform a Network Reset after upgrade to reset the APN Settings to stock).

Hey Guys,
I too am having issues with making and receiving calls. I am on Cricket Wireless and my phone wont make calls nor receive after the update. I am using merald, I just updated to 13.2.1.

I have tried uninstalling google phone and reinstalling. Nothing
Moving around the sim card, nothing. I still receive data. So I am connected to tower.
I have cleared all the cache and storage and nothing.
I just did a factory reset, that sucked, and still nothing.

Any ideas?

Hello, the new Android 14 builds should have everything working fine

Can this thread be updated to provide a download for the latest (last?) version, which I believe is 13.2.1?

What happened to the 8th stable (13.2.1+438bbe4) (Google) certified Android 13 for Teracube 2e?

I can no longer find the forum page on that, or links to download that image, which was called
full_emerald-images-13.2.1+438bbe4.emerald.user_signed.zip

redirects to this page for 13.1.1

I’m super confused right now. I was here about a month ago, and downloaded 13.2.1 for Emerald which had this March 2025 security patch. But the patch didn’t work.
I contacted support, and was instructed to install a new Updater.apk which seems to have been from Android 12. It still didn’t work.
Now the webpage for 13.2.1 seems to have been removed from the forum.
I think you guys need to add a simple, organized page with a list of releases, and links to download images. It’s confusing scrolling through pages and pages of forum updates, especially when forum pages are disappearing or getting renamed/redirected.

Now my question is, how do I fix the updater.apk now back to the version that is supposed to be with 13.1.1, because the version I have is broken (nothing happens when I tap “check for”) and it isn’t showing me there’s any update since 13.1.1.

I’ve contacted support to ask for the updated images to be posted and linked.

Please use the Android 14.x update.zip here:

You should be able to download it to the phone’s internal storage and run the update by tapping the triple dots and going to Local Update and browsing to the zip on your phone.
