What router do you have? @Gatlin_Newhouse
Same with both of our Teracube with our Linksys WRT3200ACM
Hey, I have a NETGEAR Nighthawk Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System (MK62) - AX1800 Router with 1 Satellite Extender. The confusing thing is that the WiFi works fine with my old Huawei phone which only has a 2.4Ghz band. Maybe there’s an issue with the Teracube swapping between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz? (it would have to be confirmed with other Wireless routers as well)
802.11ax is backwards compatible so I was not expecting this issue when I upgraded my family’s internet.
Marking my home WiFi as unmetered didn’t help. Currently testing turning off the turn on WiFi automatically at home and setting the network rating provider to “none”
Have ordered this Nighthawk system to try it out. Any special configuration that you have?
Will try your router if we are not able to replicate with what I ordered.
Just running QoS. Have phones on normal priority for QoS. Using one SSID for 2.4Ghz band and 5Ghz band
Similar, but not with QoS
Turning off these settings has not seemed to help
I also have “Mobile data always active” turned off in developer settings
I received the nighthawk wifi system from Amazon and was immediately able to reproduce the issue. Have collected the logs and will work with the Mtk team to figure out a solution. There is a high likelyhood that it could be the same underlying issue for others as well.
Stay tuned.
Any news on this? Waiting for ODM/MTK?
Resent the logs comparing to an Android 10 Mtk device which works fine. Will probably have to wait for another week or so for an update.
I’m having the same issue with my teracube on my home network. My router is a Google WiFi mesh router network running wpa2 psk.
When can we expect the fix?
We have provided the logs to Mediatek. They are still debugging the root cause. We are expecting this to be resolved within 2-3 months.
Could some of you (who are experiencing wifi disconnect issue) provide your Wifi MAC address - need it for debugging purpose. You can email it to support@myteracube.com. It can be found at Settings > System > About phone (3rd entry from the bottom). You can email a screenshot of that setting as well.
I’ve had this bug virtually disappear. I don’t know what happened but it’s gone.
Huh! Did you change any settings or upgrade nighthawk firmware?
Having this same issue on a Google Wifi mesh network with both of our Teracube devices.
Laptops and the other phones in the house have no issues.
Did nothing
Any update on this? At this point the phones are unusable at home, and that’s where we are 90% of the time.
